- Select whether products should be created in the active state
When Product is created, It’s in draft state and It need to be publish to make it active,
if we want products created get activated in system as its created than here in this setting its need to be selected as YES
If Yes is selected
Product created are activated in system.
If NO is selected
Product created will be in draft state always - Set whether the default pricelist for an opportunity should be selected via an inbuilt rule
This setting works when you have price list based on territory
When an Opportunity is created , if the default price list is set for territory, than prices list will be pre populated for opportunity - Set maximum number of products in a bundle
Define max number bundle can be created in one bundle, Remember Product bundle and product family is different. - Set pricing calculation preference
These settings will decide whether the entire system (entities like quotes, orders and invoices depend on this) will calculate prices automatically or not.
IF this setting is set to yes, prices will be calculated automatically, like all add and discounting logic will work with OOB.
But if you want to calculate prices using some custom mechanism, you have set this as NO.
To use custom pricing, select No for this option. Additionally, you must register a plug-in on the CalculatePrice message, provided in the CRM Web services, that contains your custom pricing code. Every time you create or change the product information in an opportunity, quote, order, or invoice, the custom code is invoked instead of the CRM system pricing engine to calculate the prices

- Set whether a discount is applied as a line item or per unit
Discount is applied at two different level of product price.
we can have at each unit of product or at line item - Set maximum number of properties allowed for a product or bundle
Setting max number of properties we can add in properties Grid of product
Default is 50
Service Tab
- Disable SLAs
SLA are Service Level Agreement Made between Customer and Organization.
Some organization need it some may not. So to Enable/Disable it, this setting can be helpful.
This Setting Enable of Disable SLA at Organization level.
SLA Enabled will be for all Entities which are SLA Enabled Entities.
SLA can be enabled or disabled at Entity Level and Above that Organization Level. - Apply SLA after manual override
This setting is to override the manual changes done on SLA. - Select SLA Pause Status
Select When to pause the SLA of Record. - Automatically apply entitlement
To set Entitlement on records automatically or not can be configured here on update and create of record.
Preview Tab
- CRM on every release of new version have some cool features which are in preview state and can be explore to understand it , so that it can be used in future when MS announce the use of it official.
For E.G in CRM 2011, CRM had new features as WEB API, but it was still not official to be used so, Admin can enable this features in preview tab and can be used to explore the upcoming feature.
This is not recommended in production by Microsoft.
